Gridfire SMS Consent Process
This page describes how automotive dealerships using Gridfire obtain customer consent before sending transaction-related SMS messages through the Gridfire platform.
How Customers Opt In
Customers opt in verbally while working directly with an automotive dealership during an active vehicle purchase or lease transaction. A dealership representative must receive an affirmative response from the customer before Gridfire is used to send an SMS message.
Verbal Consent Script
Dealership personnel are instructed to use the following consent language before sending SMS messages through Gridfire.
“May we send you text messages related to your vehicle transaction, including a short ownership survey and your personalized menu? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Do you agree to receive these messages?”
Message Details
Gridfire SMS messages are transactional communications associated with an active dealership customer interaction. They are not sent as unsolicited marketing messages.
